I thought I was going to be lucky with this body untill I uncovered this today, dont know whether to knock it out or replace the whole panel, the bog was 12 mm thick.

At least there's a fair bit of access behind that panel to beat it out if you went that route.
I think panel beating would be preferable to cutting out the whole panel. Might need quite a few shrinks though Eye Rolls .

The b post is creased back away from the door, Me & a mate up the road, knocked it part way back 9 oclock last night, but we thought the neibours had had enough so we will have another go later, access isn't so good as it's down low, & damn they made them out of good steel, no tapping it back into shape.

I have a feeling my lowlight side panels will be very similar to yours when it eventually gets stripped down to sort the roof out Mad .
The panel beater complained about how strong the metal was when he repaired it. There's quite a few areas that a magnet won't stick to & a few that feel thicker (like the bottom of the panel in your photo) Neutral .

This is a freky picture and one that may be familiar to me. How old is this pic / when did the roll over occur? Where did the car come from?

How old - 16 years old now.
When did it occur - May 1989
Where did the car come from - it's my car.

Trevs picture just looks old as I think he's scanned it from a book.

First mock-up to see how the panels fit as i bought it as a shell & all panels are off different cars & i'm sure every morry body is slightly different.

Trev, you do realise you're fitting at least one 1000 rear guard to a SII body Eye Rolls .

I know a bloke that had a convertable with one early guard & one 1000 guard he sold it like that never knowing everyone was laughing about it.

Yeah it will have 2 1000 rear guards as well as a 1000 grill.

Finally after smoothing the body, i've etch primed & primer-fillered the body, I've started guide coating & spot filling all the small nicks & scratches, & have given her the first of many rub downs (the morrie) to come.

It's slow going, but should be ready for 1400GX & 5speed to go in for it's first fit up, before some colour goes on.
