Thanks for the replies Guys, would this one would be one of the last built in aus,
It is origional and has the 1098 and ribbed case box and from memory the regulator is stamped 63
The origional rims are wider also they are on a sedan in the barn.
She [Bumpy] is what the kids call her use to jump out of third so i was using the gear box out of the sedan.
What is the going price for these as is and or restored.

there should be dates on other accessories on the car as follows
generator
starter
voltage regulator
fuse box
wiper motor
light and wiper switch
so if you have found a '63 on the regulator and if you find '63 on some of the other stuff you can say it is roughly a '63.
others on this forum can give you clearer idea on dates from the numbers on the build plate

It's about as late as they come for local LCV's.
Looks like your parts came out of the pars bin as a June LCV I have details on has a later build number than yours 159455.

Yes nice ute indeed wish mine was inthe same shape all i can say about mine is the colour looks to be the same which helps me abit as there are no ID plates on the car but going on the date on the light switch it maybe june 62 and the number 3024 on the firewall but interesting thing about the wheels though they are about 5" wide and look to be standard not widened and spot welds look to be factory and have the same morris pcd shame the camera has gone kaput i'll see if i can get some pics and maybe someone can pick them out could it be a car from NZ?
Cheers Wally

Hi Wally
Take a look at the wheels on the raised areas that the hub caps clip onto.
Can you see LP917 stamped onto one of each wheel?
If yes, they are factory 4.5 inch wheels.
Cheers

Hi Don thanks for the reply and my appologies to Whittler for musselling in on his topic ( if your reading this sorry mate ) and back to you Don I had a look at the rims and there isn't a number on them anywhere mate even tried a hubcap and it fits so I dont know I'get some picks but I dont know what good that will do maybe there is something inside when I take the tyre off.
Thanks for reading cheers Wally

Wally and Whittler
Most factory 4.5 inch rims had LP917 stamped on one of the hubcap lugs, but some of mine don't. As John says, they do all have the specification stamped on the inside of the rims, and so you will only see this with the tyres and tubes taken off.
The 4.5 inch rims are very rare in Oz -- as John says, if they are wider than normally seen on Minors, and they are spot welded (i.e. they seem to be a factory product), it is much more likely that they are the 4 inch rims as fitted to Morris Majors.
Cheers
