I just wanted to enquire if people are intending to come to the rally?
Is it tradition for people to wait until last minute to submit their entry forms?
I am concerned that those people will find accomodation hard to find it they leave it too much longer.
I am happy to hear your views, better still I would be happy to receive your entries. |
I'm still waiting for a public apology from one of your committee members for slander, until then I won't be going. But seeing as my solicitor couldn't illicit one I can't see it ever happening.

Isn't it supposed to be about the cars, I thought rallies were about cars not clashes of personalities. ????

Suppose that's where we differ.I wouldn't let 1 person stop me from going to a rally to see all the old cars,I'd go anyhow and have a good time.

Don’t differ Kenny, and no one stopping me fron having a good time – it is just that the slander has affected a lot – business and personal and financial so he should man up and put out a public apology.

Well if someone slandered me to cause me financial loss an apology wouldn't be enough I would sue him, specially if my case was bullet proof.

Talk to your mate I have proof, he got a several page letter from my solicitor disproving his claims and my wife wants me to sue, but I am bigger than that and trying to take the higher ground. All we asked was a public apology, but obviously he is too arrogant and not big enough of a man to say oops I was wrong, but mark my words if we hear anymore slander we will settle it in court.

You wouldn't let someone stop you from going but you would sue him. How about I go, and receive a public apology at the Rally Dinner awards night. The challenge is out there, but he isn't man enough. I'm willing to share all the proof my solicitor has with everyone at the Rally

Hi Grant,
I would put it to bed.
We all know the truth, move on, you can live with yourself.
You know the truth.
I read this, It helps me when I have doubt or feel unjust has been toward me...
When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you king for a day
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself
And see what that man has to say.
... For it isn’t your father, or mother, or wife
Whose judgment upon you must pass
The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life
Is the one staring back from the glass.
He’s the fellow to please – never mind all the rest
For he’s with you, clear to the end
And you’ve passed your most difficult, dangerous test
If the man in the glass is your friend.
You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years
And get pats on the back as you pass
But your final reward will be heartache and tears
If you’ve cheated the man in the glass
It wont ever change but you can go on with a clear mind.
Anger is very unhealthy. Be bigger than the fools of this world and move on mate.
Cheers,
LRS

| I'm sure a lot of people know the truth.
Which could be a reason for this post:

Thanks for that Leigh, I will let it go, but my wife won't go anywhere he is( which is a good for him as my wife would rain fire upon him), I would love to go to the rally as I have really enjoyed them in the past, which I was trying to shame him into an apology. But even with the evidence supplied by my solicitor, he hasn't been man enough to own up to his mistake

I agree Scouse,
I think that say's it all.
The damge is done, sometimes it is best to move forward with the knowledge in hand that the truth is just that.
Apologies mean nothing if the apologist is not sincere.
This forum is about cars, not dickheads...

If your evidence is so strong and have a solicitors letter to prove it then why not expose him,see a solicitor works on a % and he could make a quid if your case is airtight, or if it's not, I would let it go, but either way I would still go to the nationals. Ken

My solicitor Elaine Jesurasingham of Miller Harris Solicitors wants to proceed, and he would loose both his businesses and probably his house, but I am not a sadistic prick, time to let sleeping dogs lie Kenny.

Goodness - is this the truth that is going to be told?
Is this where he stands up and admits the error of his ways?
Is this where he stands up infront of his fellow entrants and says that he defamed people on his message board?
Is this where he has the backbone to admit that he is wrong?
Is this where he apologises to the recipients for his actions?
Is this where he pays for the damages caused?
Is this where he apologises to the morris minor community?
Is this where he say "I'm sorry"?
To see this happen would be worth the cost of the airfare ... I would probably even shake his hand for being honest.
