Hi,

Have a black faced speedo with Kms on inner face.

Which is the correct fuel sender for the tank?

Help please.

Leigh

Did mine a few months back I ordered a sender POST 1964 and a gasket from ESM UK cost about $30.
I had a fuel tank leak afterwards found out you need to use gasket cement on both sides of the gasket.
This is the time to set the sender to be accurate .
Before taking old one out
1. Connect wire to sender.
2. Connect temporary wire from metal (screw hole) on the sender to frame of car ( this gives a return as it would if bolted in)
3. With ignition on and float down it should read "empty" and with it fully up should read "full"
If it needs adjustment bend rod at the existing bend without putting tension on the slide part.
Needs two hands.
Best to drain the tank first for safety.
