I have convinced a couple of players from here, on the Sunshine coast, to travel down with me to Adelaide.

We will probably take 5 days to get there by doing about 400 or so kilometre's a day as it is about 2100 klm to there from here so will be 2 weeks minimum away.

looking forward to it

Hi Brian,

Nothing set yet, as we can't make bookings this far out. I have based all my map searches on central Adelaide ( Showgrounds Caravan park ) I have no idea what it's like, just that it is central to the proposed rally activities.

I was thinking 5 to 6 days getting there, from here.
Rough look at the map would be -

Sunshine coast - Goondiwindi - 470k
Goondiwindi - Bourke - 565k
Bourke - Broken Hill - 525k
Broken Hill
Broken Hill - Adelaide - 520k
arriving on Thursday the 30th March.

Could be an extra day on that to make the daily drive a bit shorter, but it's doable as is. Just get a good start in the mornings.

I will be towing the teardrop.

Return will probably be back via Victoria, generally having a look around, then probably up to see where I was born in the Riverina Region, then over through Cooma to the South Coast NSW and head up through there to who knows where

All subject to change as to what the others want to do.

Yellow Ute

Hi All,

Try the West Beach Caravan park, they have cabins as well. Access to the CBD is reasonably easy, 15 or 20 minutes. You will need to start booking now though
Also, Brighton is a bit further, on the beachfront, and Marion CP as well.

Cheers, Paul

West Beach is reasonably handy to Glandore. And Kingston Park, down the southern end of the metro beaches is pretty nice, right on the beach. Quite a bit of choice.

It was Kingston Park when I was a lad sailing at the yacht club next door! I’ve been away from SA for years, thanks!
