Hello Morris fans,
Am glad to find a forum like this. My wife and I bought a 1953 Morris last year from a 91 year old guy on the Gold Coast, who had spent 10 years converting, modifying, and god knows what! Some of the things he did have me scratching my head.
It's red with grey roof, split windscreen, red mags, converted to Datsun 120Y motor and automatic transmission. Grey interior, woodgrain glovebox and woodgrain sports steering wheel. Will put in photo as soon as can..
Would like to eventually paint it British racing green and convert back to manual transmission and maybe 1400 motor. Am told Corolla 1400 fits well. Would like to locate trafficators too.
I am sure I will have questions in the near future.
Morry on.

ElPresidente'
If it already has an A12 from a 120y an easy option is to find a A14 from a Sunny or an A15 from a commercial. Straight swap and there is nothing wrong with their 4spd trans. (they do a 5spd if you can find one)
Actually the auto goes well behind the 1400.
