Some nice cars there Mark.

That red table top looks very familiar Eye Rolls .
It must have moved north in the last year or so.

What a great roll-up
The red ute (Mick H) moved up to QL a few months back for work, it's Ians old ute, twincam 4ag on gas, its a 2dr cut down. I didn't think he would get it passed up there, or maybe it's still registed down here. Looks like it still scrubs out tyres as ussual. 4cyl LJ Torana front end.

Great photos Skidmond. Some great looking cars in that lot! I was so looking forward to going, then I got Chicken Pox... Embarassed Mad
Especially would've like seeing that red ute on Gas... I'm strongly considering running my ute on LPG. But isn't a 4AG a 1.6L? I didn't think you could take them out to 2L. And the limit (unless you can prove it originally ran a side valve engine, which weighed more) is just shy of 2L... But, regardless, I always thought there was a clause in there that, if a vehicle was legally registered in another state (meaning all engineering modifications were approved), it was legally able to be registered up here anyway..? Not that it makes a huge amount of difference, since we've got the same laws now. But I remember people talking about bringing in LHD cars (not Morries) through the Northern Territory for that reason. Sorry, kind of off-topic...
After all the talk about it, and the previewed photo posting from Tony, who won the rocker cover racing?

As a ring in that did,nt quite fit the start grid ( it was longer than any other two put together it made a good showing of it,s self after the stearing was sorted .
But some little bloke with a jet powered Number 8 would have to have ripped it out I never stayed for the finals (better to leave before the end KEEP 'EM Guessing) and with a 1.5 kg handi cap as well(weighed more than any 3 together.)
But as soon as someone sends me an old Morrie tappet cover I shall start on next years entry LEGAL.
As for the DAY BLOODY GREAT dam good showing and I even got a real sample bag like in the old days (anyone want a free burger and coffe at macca's in Cleaveland before the 30th?).
The day was worth the 2 1/2 drive down and than back.
Note to self ... may need a better diff for next long drive maby 1 to 1 in top.
So from me Thanks to all that put on the day
aand thanks for all those that made the effort with there cars.

It looks like a NSW 2007 rego label on the windscreen.

the flip front ute is still registered in NSW. I had a chat with the owner and he showed me the engineers report. I dont think he will have any problems getting it registered here in Qld.

I will keep a A series tappet cover for you Tony, will pass it on next time we 'swap' some parts Very Happy

The red ute is only a 1600cc not a 2litre, Ian always had trouble with it cracking the chassis, where the Torana front was grafted in, it drives shocking with bad bumpsteer (well it used to when I went in it) The front end is set-up wrong with wrong amount of caster, don't know why it always scrubbed tyres.

A very good day well done to the BRISBANE SOUTHSIDE MORRIS MINOR CAR CLUB for putting it on. Well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive up in the morries. Met some forum members and had a bit of a chat. There were some great cars that gave me some good ideas on some things to do on my own. Did anyone get a photo of the wind-up morris?

Anyone help me out with some images of the early cheesegrater series IIs both the red ute and the red van? Both are very early ones any details?

If anyone can e-mail me some large images of these or any LCvs at the event they would be most welcome
