Question #2:
It's an easy job. Just relocate the LH wheel box to where ever you want it & turn it upside to convert to parallel sweep. You'll need to cut the outer cable tube down to suit but that's all.
That's how I fitted 3 wiper blades to my van Very Happy .

Question 1
The 2 speed motor will fit, easy on the 1000, a bit harder on the series II, dont forget they are mounted so they are insulated from the body, the motor always recieves + power & is switch on with - erth, so if the motor touchs the body in any way it will run.
Most 2 speed motors have to much sweep for thminor so they sweep off the windsceen, the large round gear has the degrees stamped on it, eg 130deg. by moving the pin towards the centre of the gear you can reduce the amount of sweep.
Another they told me it just bolts in Embarassed

I got a 2 speed Mini wiper motor, swaped and slightly modified the large gear from the minor to make to adapt to it. I also had to extend the mounting plate as only two of the 3 holes lined up. (1960 Minor converted to Negitive earth).

Then I searced the wreckers for a pull and twist 2 speed wiper switch (from an old Toyota Ute).

So now I have two speeeds and a water squirter thingy and it all looks as original. (You have to file out the inside of the knob to fit over the new shaft of the switch)
