Got to be very careful graham. How many wires has the wiper motor got?

you will have to wire a relay for the park system to work if it is a five pin.

What is the part no on the motor.

It is really easy to burn the park circuit out if you make a mistake

G'day

The motor is the 4 pin plug type.
I have heard of possible disasters that is why I am trying to find someone who knows what goes on where.

Cheers

Are you sure, two speed normally have five pins four the same way
( same plane) and one accross the bottom .
The wiring incorporates parking modes in both high and low speed.

No John I am not sure, I was under the impression it had four but I could easily be wrong. I will check tomorrow when I am at the car.
If it is a five pin which pin dose what?

Cheers
Graham

if it is a marina wiper motor they only have 4 pins with the earth attached to the motor elsewhere, and the mini sigle speed is the same motor but with 3 pins
i will try to look at my marina's wiper and find out where the wires go

Hi Graham

I hope that Santa will bring you a completed and very satisfying MorRex.

This is probably not much help, but I know that Owen Burton's modification manual (I don't have a copy) has instructions on how to do the 2-speed wiper mod. Presumably, that would include how to wire it up.

Cheers and all the best for 2010

Don

the top pin nearest the firewall ..........red/ lt green
the top pin nearest the grille..............black/dk green
the bottom pin nearest the firewall.....brown/dk green
the bottom pin nearest the grille........dk green X 2
and the earth is attached to the wiper gearbox and is black with a ring connector to go under the screw/bolt on the wiper motor

Yellow Van you will find that the wipers use the earth to turn them on not power and they have 2 earths The power should be at the wiper motor at all times and when you pull the switch it is the earth that makes them work regards Heather

G'day

Finally remembered the wiper motor when I was at the car.
It has four pins, what I would like to know is which one is power, which slow, fast and park or what ever they do.
Can anyone help?
It will be wired to a Lazer steering column so colours of wires probably do not mean much.

Cheers
Graham

Not a very good picture of the plug

Motor plug is on the right side of flat bit.
