Whats with the quality of the reproduction rubber that goes into the cowl and around the wiper arms in the mm series cars? Red Convertible the originas are tidy little pieces with a nice shape (have seen them in other cars), have tried two suppliers now with the same result: big ugly cockroach looking things, with untidy moldings, too large for the holes, and in trimming the bottom to fit the hole only ends up in removal of the whole bottom due to the hole for the wiper arm being too large Red Convertible not even rubber appear to be a silicolne?

mine are definitely series mm ones
the "lip" part that fits in the hole is mostly fused together

Not too sure who you are buying them off, but there is a good place here in NZ that I have been buying rubber parts for my Daimler rebuild. They do Morris as well, they are a company called Basis. Google them and have a look.

thanks 52s2mm. Deffinatelly not 1000 rubbers because they are only a round oval, that the chrome thing sits on, which are now reproduced Yellow Convertible though yet to replace the pitted ones on my 1000, never taken notice to what the series II have but I will now. Though even if these items were meant to be for a series II I wouldn't use them due to the such poor quality moulding and missmatched shape and leaked sprue. and spectrum was the supplier of one lot. sadly the quality left with Peter
