I am looking for expressions of interest for a Christmas in July event to be held in Ipswich, Queensland, hosted by the Morris Car Group of Ipswich.

I am going to organise a run on the Saturday followed by a traditional christmas dinner and gifts. Red wine is mandatory and all guests will be influenced strongly to participate Shocked Eye Rolls

Sunday will start with an Aussie BBQ breakfast and then each club can organise a run home or you can go home your own seperate way.

The venue will be a restuarant in Ipswich, Qld and accommodation will be arranged for visitors.

Please email me or PM me your suggestions and interest Very Happy

cheers

Sorry everyone, we have had to change the date for the Xmas in July. It will now be the 16th July 2005. The venue has been booked out and no accommodation is available anymore for the 23rd July 2005.

There is plenty of accommodation on the 16th, so get in early while you can. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Skidmond
aka Mark

It's pretty big, holds 120 litres.
I think the furthest I've travelled on one tank was about 1700 or 1800km.
It's great for crossing the country, only needed 2 fuel stops Very Happy Very Happy .

Okay, heres the plan.....

It will be held on the 16th of July 2005 at the Sundowner Motor Inn, 250 South Station Rd, Ipswich. Ph (07) 3202 4622 or go to www.sundownermotorinns.com.au

Dinner will cost $29.50 each which will include a christmas dinner, bon bons, lollies and a visit from Santa Claus.

A raffle and secret santa will be held so there will be lots of things to enjoy.

A range of accomodation is available at a discounted rate ($89.00), so those travelling to Ipswich can stay onsite at a reasonable rate (no taxi's or designated drivers needed).

If you intend staying at the Motel overnight, please contact the Motor Inn directly to book your room and mention that you are coming for the Xmas in July function to get the discounted room rate.

On Sunday morning we will have a BBQ breakfast at a local park to fix those hangover blues and a final farewell before everyone heads home.

Numbers for the function are needed asap, please RSVP to Mark at ourmorries@hotmail.com or two_door@optusnet.com.au

We hope to see you all there, the more the merrier
Very Happy

Grant,

Festivities will officially start at about 6.30pm. The real fun will start earlier than that with some wine tasting and tall story teling at a secret venue.... Frosty and I will have to sort out a venue for that....

Would be great to see you down here for that, might even be able to manage a Morry for you to get about in...

regards

Can all guests please be at the venue by 6.30pm, dinner served at 7pm.
Drinks will be at bar prices.

Pre-dinner drinks will be at Brothers Leagues Club, Wildey Street, Raceview after 4.30pm. The venue is only a short walk from Brothers (or an even shorter drive).

I have secured a nights accommodation at the Sunshine Coast as the major raffle prize and 4 tickets to the Bronco's home game against the Canberra Raiders at Suncorp Stadium as the lucky door prize.

A secret auction will be held as well.......

Looking forward to it, it will be a great night of fun.
