Can some one please tell me how to wire in an indicator light for high beam.
Can it come from push button on floor or does it have to come from lights themselves.

It is just a power you are applying to the lamp so there is no reason it can't come from the dip switch. If you get stuck I can send you a copy of the wiring diagram in PDF

Glen, later models like the 1000 had a high beam indicator light in the speedo at the top. pretty sure series 2 had one but can't remember where, maybe you just need a new globe

if memory serves the light for the series 2 is hidden behind the grille in the middle of the dash

Yes the series 2 has it behind the grille in the dash as Carl said. It is red I think.
