G'day

I used too before I stuffed my back.
mainly dirt bikes :
Suzuki TS125
TS185
RM125
Bultaco Alpina 350
Pursang 250

this one is a Bultaco Alpina 350

but one road bike a Yamaha RZ250 - it had the same frame as the 350 so was a good size fit for me

A mate has the Triumph 2.3lt tripal, the engine would go well in a Morry

I'm one who doesnt care what brand you ride, it's all about enjoying yourself, i had a ball once on a mates posty fanging around the streets. Shocked

My first bike, dad won it in a raffle at our local servo in the early 70's
Dexon, with kerby 2 stroke, i couldn't pull the starter so fitted a wind up start off an old victor Very Happy
Wind it up pump, the primer, open the throttle full bore, then flick the start lever out with me foot, goooone lol

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

then kwaka 75 (still have it now)
TS 75 (still have that one to)
TS 125
RD 350A (brother has that now)
XL 250 ( still have that one to lol)
& lots of other bush pigs along the way.

me thinks you might need to crop that pic... and shrink it

i have to go along the freeway so i had to get something that would deal at the higher speeds... that and i didnt want to get a bike, who's engine is smaller than my lawn mower (148cc) so both those points, and the fact that i wanted the comfort of a cruiser guided my decision

Yep it's a mid 08, 865cc

I have my eye on a 1948 triumph rigid, it's in a mates shed in bits, he moved over seas 8 yrs ago.

I lined up a 69 bonny before i picked up mine, 5 grand with a reco motor but it had a gearbox problem, he is a mate & has had it for 20 yrs, he rang me the day before pick up he was pissed & upset "i cant let it go" Very Happy so i bought a modern one, it was cheaper than a restored early one..

Yep i was trying to shrink photo but my moderm roams at my new place & is so sloooow.

Yea i like the bobber style, the 48 has the engine finished, frame chromed (yuk) rear end widened, & a 70's set of forks fitted, he wants 3 grand for it.

Yea i forgot about the YZ's & Rm's, i bought 2 85 YZ 80'S in the late 80's in bits this young bloke had stripped both of them, i mean everything including all the gears & bearings off the shafts, i dragged it all home & built on good one & one average one that i gave to my brother, we had a ripper time on em.

Also had a couple of RM 125's, my brother still has my early steel tank one.
My favorite was an old RM 370, i found it on a farm in mudgee, it was lying on it's side in an open shed & didnt go, i swapped the bloke a 3 cylinder 750 shaft drive yamy for it.
He said the engine & box had been completely rebuilt, with forged piston & ported cylinder, yea right i thought.
Me & my brother took it back to our bush weekender& pulled the top off & he hadn't been lying, but it just wouldn't go, it would idle but that's it.
We pulled the carby apart & cleaned it, checked all the magneto, we were about to give up for the day, to many beers Very Happy when we took the muffler off & it went like a scalded cat, a long screw driver down the muffler dislodged a mud packed hornets nest.
This thing was crazy, when it hit power band hang on, i loved it, to this day I've never been on anything that exhilarated so hard.
It used to bruise across the bottom of my foot starting it, even with heavy work boots on.
When i sold it, a young bloke & he's father came to look they wanted it for hunting he tryed to start it & it back fired, he pushed it out the front limping
