I would like to introduce "Jim" thr 1969 Morris minor ute. Found him in a farmers shed and he had been parked in 1984 and covered in bags and junk.
Old mate (family friend) let me have him in exchange for some farm work.
He was used first as a pub vehicle to cart kegs of beer to an Adelaide hills pub from West end in Adelaide.
Farmer purched (Jim) from the local publican at Woodside in the Adelaide hills to cart Calves to and from the cattle markets and general farm work.
When I got hold of him, I pumped up the tyres and loaded onto a trailer to start the rebuild
Jim is a 1960 and data plate info is : Morris 108, chassis no 8105263 2560
Engine no 9MU413780
ENGLISH GREY.
I've started the rebuild, tray and cab off and replaced the front chassis rails, engine bay floor, cabin floor and general panel work, resprayed to original English grey, and now working on brakes and wiring loom replacement.
Lots of headaces, as when it comes to mechanics, im a good gardener.keep your eye open for advice as I'll need plenty.
Cheers

Hi Pete, welcome, would love to see some photos of your old ute. I am busy throwing money at my old girl at the moment and learning as I go along. Cheers Mal

Interestingly at the moment there are at least 5 Forum members rebuilding Utes. Given the low production numbers compared to cars and the fact that they were often neglected it is a bit surprising.
Hope we all can share some ideas and tips, and encouragement.
I have my chassis and rear wheels/diff together and into work on the the cab.
I bought some panels (tie plates etc) from ESM UK cannot believe how good the prices are even after paying freight. They arrive here 8 to 10 days from order.
I almost ordered the wrong "B" post repair not knowing Utes and cars are different, but they picked it up and changed my order.
